StepStuds™

Using 5/8 thick drywall, the StepStud™ typically comes in 8’ lengths for

ease of shipping, carrying, and work site mobility. This outside

StepStud™ comes with all vent and drain holes pre-punched. 

StepStud™ Extender

Part# HBS-ISS-WH-58-96

The Extender slides completely into the back of the StepStud™. This 8’ long, 2-piece kit has an outside piece and an inside piece when using 5/8 drywall. It is used on walls that are less than 16 feet long to form a quick wall extension, saving both time and money.

StepStud™ Spline

Part# HBS-ISS-WOH-58-96

The StepStud™ Spline easily slides into the back of the StepStud™. At 8’ long it can be cut on the job site into splines, typically recommend at 12” long. There are no holes in this piece as it is used to connect two outer pieces together for stability whenever they butt end to end.

StepStud™ Corners

To protect your inside and outside corners, we offer a 10 pack of metal

corner guards. These work very well to cover up the open ends on outside corners and give substance to inside corners. It’s as easy as sitting the corners in place (no adhesive or screw required) and installing your cove base or baseboard right over it.
